I loan because:
The opportunity to help others who are trying to help themselves strikes me as something that you just shouldn't pass up. I have been fortunate to have never experience poverty, want or need, as much through the circumstances of my birth as through hard work and commitment. It is nice to be able to put 100% of the money I can lend to practical use. I am grateful that my good fortune can be put to use through Kiva to help people build security for themselves and others. There is, of course, a spiritual appeal to this project as well. My faith in God encourages faith in others and a belief that we are all one family. I am glad that I have found Kiva so I can help my “family” around the world.
About me:
I work for a company that specializes in software for the printing and publishing industry. I have also written a history book about the small town that I currently call home, which was published in 2006.
