Bio:
Kathrin first became an online lender in 2008 after watching a news report about Kiva. As a fellow in Lome, Togo, she is eager to take her passion for international development through genuine partnership to the next level. Kathrin holds a B.S. in International Trade & Finance and has a background in enterprise risk management, having worked at Deloitte as a senior consultant. Born and raised in Germany, Kathrin has been interested in other cultures ever since she came to study in the US in 2000. This interest finally led her to leave the corporate world in 2009 to spend a year exploring several countries in East Asia and North Africa. Having recently lived and worked in France, Kathrin speaks French and hopes to enrich her vocabulary with local Togolese expressions as well as pick up some basic phrases in Eve.
