I loan because:
we need to cut out the big banks and governmental strings which are traditionally attached to aid from the west to LDCs. Doing it this way means that the money goes where it's needed. Also, small businesses are more integrated into their local community and far less likely to be damaging to the environment than big multi-national companies, and that is very important to me

I work for a charity which protects biodiversity (plants, animals and habitats) in the north of england.
