About me:
I work at a university, where I teach introductory biology to students who are not majoring in the sciences. It's a real challenge, because so many of my students are terrified of science. What I try to do is teach them a few essential concepts, approach the topics in many different ways, and show them how science applies to their own lives. On the side, I write books for children. Most of what I write is nonfiction books for schools and libraries on topics in science, technology, and crafts.
