I loan because:
Kiva makes it so easy! Because of Kiva’s very transparent, accessible and personalized online model, creating very positive change through philanthropy is no longer limited to the Warren Buffets or Bill and Melinda Gates of the world. With $25 bucks and a warm heart, anyone can be a powerful agent of change.
About me:
As a Kiva Fellow, I’m working with FUDECOSUR to connect entrepreneurs in Costa Rica with Kiva lenders and funding.

Bio:
Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Julie studied Political Science, concentrating in International Relations at UCLA. Unsatisfied with the limitations of books, Julie travels frequently to quench her thirst for world exploration and discovery. A long career in financial services has enabled Julie to help small businesses, entrepreneurs and individuals succeed financially, by supporting financial education, responsible lending and affordable credit offers. While at Deloitte, Julie managed projects and events, which connected emerging high-tech companies with the tools and contacts needed to acquire mission-critical venture capital. During her tenure at Wells Fargo, Julie used her online and email marketing expertise to support holistic financing and credit-building solutions - for small businesses, and low to mid-income individuals. Eager to help extend financial aid to developing communities in much greater need, Julie became a Kiva lender and advocate. As a Kiva Fellow, Julie is honored to help communities realize greater economic and human potential, by working to support and extend the pool of Kiva lending resources and recipients. Julie fell in love with the beauty and warm culture of Costa Rica back in 2005, and is very excited to return and serve in the southern region. !PURA VIDA!
