Bio:
Julie has lived in Copenhagen for the past four years and is currently getting a Master's Degree in Business and Development Studies at the Copenhagen Business School. She is half Danish but grew up in the Boston area. After a semester abroad in Copenhagen, she decided to stay in Denmark for the remainder of her studies. After completing her Bachelor's in International Development Studies, she spent six months in NYC interning at ACCION USA, where she had the opportunity to learn about domestic microfinance at one of Kiva's first domestic partner organizations. Her passion for international development developed after an eight-month stay in South America in 2004-2005, where she had the opportunity to live in Cochabamba, Bolivia and travel to a number of other countries. After her Kiva fellowship, Julie will return to Copenhagen where she will write her Master's Thesis on microfinance.
