Bio:
Iyanna is eager to leverage her Kiva Fellowship experience into a new career in international development. Iyanna brings to Kiva a background in corporate and investment banking having worked with SunTrust Robinson Humphrey as an Associate Portfolio Manager and Financial Analyst. At SunTrust she assisted in the sourcing, execution, and maintenance of over $1.5 billion in corporate debt and other financial transactions. Prior to working at SunTrust, Iyanna worked with Tree of Life, an NGO in Ghana, to facilitate the organization of village credit unions. She has also written microfinance articles for MicroCapital.org, a leading online source for microfinance capital markets news. Iyanna feels that a career in international development is the perfect marriage of her finance and banking background, her passion for international financial development and poverty alleviation, and her love of international travel that she discovered while sailing on Semester at Sea during undergrad. She is excited to be immersed in Liberian culture and to serve current and prospective Kiva borrowers.
