I loan because:
We are very proud that the World Food Prize is held every year in Des Moines Iowa! As part of learning about one of the previous World Food Prize laureates (later named 2006 Nobel Peace Prize recipient!)we watched a video called Pennies a Day (Izzit.org) which described the impact microloans can have on the lives of people in need. We had a "Penny War" contest between classes and raised $150.00 to fund 6 $25.00 microloans.
About me:
We are Iowa junior high students who are learning that we can do community service globally as well as locally through organizations like Kiva!
