I loan because:
Making capital available makes the world a better place. I have had access to capital, and it has made my life better, and making capital available to others lets all markets improve. In the end, we all trade together, everyone, everywhere. The world is a giant network of trade. It's important to invest in small businesses, so that people can improve their situation and have self-reliance, regardless of which country they are in, or how much money they have to start with. That's true for me, just as it's true for anyone else on Kiva, whether a lender or a borrower. Capitalism = liberty. Liberty = dignity.
