- I loan because:
- $25 is a drop in the bucket over a lifetime, but that money can go so much farther and contribute to such a bigger, better cause when it's needed. Being able to make that kind of impact is important and a responsibility that everyone should be held accountable for, and I'm so glad that I have an opportunity like this to do my part.
- About me:
- I work with children impacted by developmental disabilities and their families. Our job here is to create events to help the children socialize, learn and become more independent, as well as help their families to become more educated, gain funding and support. We currently service about 500 families in the northern region of New Jersey.
I have recently started another separate organization that raises funds to distribute to families who have children with Autism. The families who are eligible are in need of aid to cover the cost of care for their child or children (things like medical care, schooling, nutritional needs, respite care). We are hoping to reach all of New York City, New Jersey, and New York and turnover about $500,000 annually to the families. It's a great opportunity for needed services and I'm so proud that our hard work is starting to cover ground! - Member Since:
