Bio:
Growing up in the diverse city of San Francisco sparked Gustavo’s interest in international relations and the Spanish language. At the University of Costa Rica, he studied Nicaraguan - Costa Rican social and economic relations while living in San José. With work experience in personal finance, financial analysis, and international trade regulation, he looks forward to sharing a mixed bag of skills as a Kiva fellow in Totonicapán, Guatemala. He has had the pleasure of traveling through many parts of the globe sampling new cuisines and experiencing varieties of human culture. He is fascinated with the potential benefit microfinance has on a global scale. Gustavo joins Kiva Fellows 14th class to promote the benefits of microfinance and to experience and share the immediate impact Kiva loans have on borrower entrepreneurs.
