- The members of the San Diego Microfinance Alliance believe in the power of microfinance to alleviate poverty and empower the poor. We know that microfinance creates opportunities to improve lives, not just fleeting fortunes.
We realize we are privileged to live and work in the beautiful city of San Diego, and we feel that compared to much of the world, we have abundant resources. We want to share this wealth with entrepreneurs in developing countries. We host networking events, speakers series and provide a website that serves as an events calendar, jobs board, volunteer database, community forum, and news source. - About me:
- I am attorney turned social entrepreneur. I became a part of the San Diego Microfinance Alliance because I am dedicated to spreading awareness of and enthusiasm for microlending. I believe a great way to do that is by building a community right here among our own neighbors. Then we can meet, talk, share ideas, and help each other in our own endeavors and the endeavors of those in developing countries.
