I loan because:
We can see how our donations can change people's lives in a meaningful way. We support a wide range of charitable organizations but find this new model to be extremely effective and satisfying because you feel a close connection to the person or groups you are helping. You can immediately know how they will gain self-sufficiency and in such a small way you can help many improve theirs lives in a way by which they would otherwise go without.
About me:
Marla works in Finance, Administration & Operations for a nationally syndicated radio show and has worked in this industry in various capacities since college. Michael is a residential real estate agent in Dallas who for many years worked in the film/tv commercial business as a set designer & prop man. Michael is also a wonderful painter. Einstein is our 7 year old poodle and doesn't actually do much work. He has the best job of all. We also have a 2 & 1/2 year Coton du Tulear named Coco who was rescued from a puppy mill who we adopted from a wonderful organization named UCARE in Dallas run by our friend Jane
