Bio:
Edwin grew up in Burnaby, a suburb of Vancouver, in British Columbia, Canada. He graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Commerce. After graduation, Edwin articled at the Vancouver office of public accounting firm KPMG, obtaining his Chartered Accountant designation and earning a Master of Professional Accounting degree from the University of Saskatchewan. Edwin has also spent a year working in KPMG's London, England office. During his time at KPMG, Edwin focused on the audits of financial institutions, and fit in trips to Costa Rica, Greece, and Poland. Edwin enjoys hiking, attending Toastmasters, and volunteering at a youth outreach program in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. One of the things on Edwin's bucket list is to go volunteer abroad, and he sees his Kiva Fellowship as the perfect opportunity to use his work experience in financial institutions to serve people in the developing world. Originally from Hong Kong, Edwin is excited to be spending more time in southeast Asia.
