Eduarda was born and raised in Porto, in the north of Portugal. After finishing her degree in Economics she decided to replace the city of Port wine with the country of Trappist beer by moving to Belgium to pursue an MA in European Economic Studies at the College of Europe in Brugges.
She has spent most of her professional life working at the European Commission in Brussels on trade issues, which took her to exciting places such as Berezniki in Russia, close to the Ural Mountains, and to Shahe City, of Hebei Province in China.
Eduarda has also lived in Italy and Mexico and has traveled extensively in Latin America, Europe and Asia. She has just returned from a 6-month trip that started in Mexico and finished in India and is really excited about spending the next four months in Peru as a Kiva Fellow.
