The Edith Cambridge trust was founded in memory of a strong and independent woman who believed that you can make a difference by taking small steps, extending a hand of friendship and acts of kindness.
About me:
Mum lived till the age of 91. She did not marry till her late 30s and was able to live an independent life. She had been given the chance to go to university and train as a physiotherapist, at a time when most women were expected to work only in the home. She was grateful for people who had helped her at times in her life and always wanted to extend a hand of friendship to others where possible.
