- I loan because:
- I've long known that what one believes to be the path to happiness is all too often far from the correct path onto a greater and more fulfilling life. Indeed many of the things in life that we most desire are in fact the things that cause us the most problems, and therefore often lead to discontent and sadness. This wonderful knowledge sadly is not the path to limitless and endless happiness and fulfillment however. The frustrating truth about human nature is that whist you might know what the right things to do is, it might be seared onto your very mind's eye, you will not essentially be able to follow through and commit to the lifestyle that you know to be the best for you and those around you, including animals other than humans. Indeed we need to both know what the right thing to do is and then also how to do the right thing, but even then the final step of committing to following through with the actualization of our ambitions. I like all of you reading this have struggled, and continue to struggle with these problems, but through Kiva I have been able to commit to helping people that have also pulled themselves up and organised themselves enough to make a loan request through Kiva. This is the best thing about Kiva, it supports those that are following the steps they need to follow to become the productive types of people that we need in human society. It cannot be overstated how important the role Kiva takes in the process is by linking those that want terribly to make the world better but do not have the knowledge to interdependently help those that deserve it the most. I loan because Kiva is a wonderful gift that allows me to do things I never could have before.
