That's a great question, isn't it. If my reasons were simple this answer would be easy. I have been blessed to live in the wealthiest nation on earth. Blessed is the key word, but that blessing means nothing if I ignore the increased responsibility to my fellow man that comes with it. Loaning is part of what I feel my role in the world is. From donating to Doctor's Without Borders, Habitat for Humanity, etc. Kiva loans fit right into living up to and being worthy of those blessings.
