Hey. I'm Craig. Having been lucky enough to do some volunteer work overseas in a few countries I have seen what a massive difference microloans can make. Every loan has the potential to not only impact an individual, but their family and community too. Kiva is a very clever initiative, and one I feel is well worth supporting. Prior to lending, I encourage lenders to look at the details of their loans, and in particular at the interest rates the community banks are passing on to the borrowers. Some microlenders can charge exorbitant rates and I feel it is important for lenders on this site to look a little more deeply into their involvement and how to operate with maximum impact and ethics.
