Bio:
Chris has a long-standing fascination with the cultures of Eastern Europe and the post-Soviet world. Having studied Russian history and culture in St. Petersburg and traveled extensively throughout the CIS, he is excited to now be serving as a roaming Kiva Fellow in the Caucasus and Central Asia, two corners of the region he has not yet explored. For the past several years, he has worked at an MBA admissions consulting firm, a position that brought him into contact with professionals from all corners of the private sector. Working one-on-one with microfinance professionals and other social entrepreneurs rekindled his interest in Kiva and inspired him to pursue a career in international development. After his Kiva Fellowship, he hopes to enroll in a master's program in that field.
