Bio:
Sometime during a year off spent living in the South Pacific, Charlie realized that he did not truly want to pursue medicine. As it was, this left him with a mission to create positive change in the world but not a whole lot of direction in how he should go about it. In the four years since graduating he has spent significant amounts of time in Israel, Palestine, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Japan. He also worked for 18 months in project management at Lend Lease Corp., a multinational construction and real estate company. Along the way he decided that public interest law would be his next step, potentially working with non-profits such as Kiva on legal procedures and implications of their work. In the meantime he is thrilled to be spending the next six months in Kyrgyzstan and is dreaming of ushankas.
