I loan because:	Chad and Melissa Wiebesick are both social activists. They want to lend a helping hand in making the world a greater place. Kiva makes it a greater place. Using Kiva to lend to the world's working poor makes a lasting change. And a tangible change. They'd rather lend money to people who need it than have it sit in their bank. They enjoy visiting other countries and have travelled to Belize, Bahamas, Cayman Islands, Honduras, and Mexico (Ensenada and Cozumel). Chad has lived in nearly half the world's continents. He's been an expatriate twice -- living four years in Germany and five years in South Korea. He’s an avid globetrotter and has visited Austria, Belgium, Berlin (East and West), Canada, Denmark, England, France, Holland, Italy, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and Russia (Moscow and Leningrad). He still hasn't satiated his wanderlust.
