I loan because:
It's a fantastic idea. We all tell our kids how great we have it here in the US, and how others in developing countries have so many challenges. But this is a way for us--ALL of us--to help. There aren't many people who can give up their daily lives and join the peace corp, but every single person in America can easily loan $25. I'm certainly not in a high-income bracket, and I was able to.
