Kiva Lender: Camryn

Location: Los Angeles, CA United States
Occupation: Entertainment
I loan because: When I was starting out, I remember so many small favors that I received from people. Those favors added up and ultimately got me where I am today. Their support and generosity helped me follow my dreams and become a successful business woman. It gives me such great satisfaction to do the same for people all over the world. I love that I am actually able to sit at home with my son and see the faces and read the stories of the people we help, cheering them on every step of the way and sharing in their success. My parents taught me the importance of giving back to the world, and Kiva is a wonderful way to pass that lesson along to my son.
About me: I guess I would describe what I do as storytelling. My hope is that through my work as an actress, I can unite people by holding a mirror up to humanity. There are thousands of ways to make a social contribution in this world. As an artist, I strive to illuminate the struggles, the triumphs and the sorrows of the world in hopes of provoking people to make positive changes.
