- We are ALL in this together! There is more than enough wealth in this world to share with all! And I'm more than happy to share what little of this wealth I have with those who truely need it! May 10, 2010 - I initially joined Kiva in Nov 2009 and I loaned $25 to four different people. In the meantime, with the money that's been paid back and that goes back into my Kiva account - instead of withdrawing it (via Paypal), I just re-lend it out to other struggling entrepreneurs. It's really rewarding to help. I could easily withdraw the money and be done - but it's more fun to just use that same initial $100 and continue cycling that money through. If I ever chose to - I could stop lending and get my $100 back - but I don't need it at much as the folks to. $25 at a time can really help these people out. So happy to be a part of it! I've made a total of 16 loans now (of $25 each) by recycling the same $100 I used in 2009. Whenever I get repaid, I just choose another person to loan it back out to.
