I loan because:
Our family is truly blessed with God's love and life's good fortune. We are very privileged to have more than what we need to thrive...in a world where most people have barely enough to survive. Our ability (through Kiva) to help other people to invest in themselves is a great way for us to share our good fortune. As it is often said "Life is like a roll of the dice!" We've been pretty lucky so far...It is our sincere hope that people we loan to can feel the same way!
About me:
I owned and operated a manufacturing facility for 30 years. I worked very hard, long hours and had the very good fortune to thrive. In the early years I struggled with loans with interest rates as high as 21%. I know how difficult it can be to borrow money as a small business owner. It is now my turn to give back.
