Bio:: Currently residing in San Francisco, Betsy hails from both Seattle and New Jersey. She first developed an interest in international development while researching her senior thesis at a community center in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Following graduation, Betsy continued her international work by hopping on a plane to Guatemala to work with a US-based hospital on an midwife education program. She then spent five months backpacking solo through South and Central America. After returning to the States, Betsy began working at Peer Health Exchange, a health education organization. One day, she hopes to pursue a joint MBA/MPH. She knows that Honduras will be an amazing experience and is excited to learn more about microfinance.
