Bio:
Brittany recently graduated from Global College, the only university in the United States where students can base 3.5 years of their residency abroad. With a degree in Global Studies and a concentration in Economic Development, Brittany has studied and worked in Taiwan, Thailand, India, Turkey, Bangladesh, Costa Rica, and Paraguay. She has worked with Grameen Bank and Grameen Solutions (a software development subsidiary of Grameen Bank) in Bangladesh, working on mHealth applications for mobile devices and analyzing Grameen borrowers in the field. In Paraguay, she worked with Fundacin Paraguaya in their Kiva department, promoting borrowers and their businesses through social media platforms. With her final semester in New York, Brittany worked with Acumen Fund as an administrator to their online community of 3,000+ members, and was involved in New York for Acumens spring *Spark! benefit. Currently, she is a micro-finance ambassador for iShop4Microfinance.org. Brittany is passionate about social enterprise and micro-finance, and is excited to join Kiva as a fellow for Faulu Kenya in Nairobi. She plans to join the Peace Corps as a community development volunteer in 2011, and hopes to get an MBA with a concentration in social innovation in the future.
