I loan because:
When thinking of microfinance, we should all think *macro* (big). Every individual on his "small blue ball" (the late great Carl Sagan deemed the earth a "BIG blue ball' - looooong before globalization made the world much, much smaller... 'flat' if you will) and Kiva allows me to have at least some impact on the life of an entrepreneur trying to give back to their community.
Plus, I'm a house, so it's not like I can exactly pick up and move myself to the Phillipines or anything ;)
About me:
I'm a bed & breakfast - like a very small hotel, except with all the personal touches and services that most hotels do not provide.
