- I loan because:
- -because I was a guest in Uganda for a time; -because I have the ability to help others; -because I want to show that people around the world can help each other, simply and effectively; -because I believe that microfinance has a positive effect on borrowers, their families, and their communities. Initially, my loans were concentrated on Uganda and East Africa, particularily women, as a gesture of thanks for support in making a film there. Recently, I have spread my lending scope to include women in nations that have less female education and career opportunities; and nations that have bad relations with either North America, "the West", or Jews. This, I believe, promotes the idea that we can get along if we forget about the politics. current priorities in lending: -women -agriculture, especially grains and greens (trying to avoid livestock) -countries with bad relations with the west, and poorer countries
