Bio:
Allie was born in Massachusetts. She grew up there and in London. As an expat Allie was able to travel frequently and ignite her passion for adventure. During college, she lived abroad in Paris as an intern for the State Department and she studied abroad in Morocco. Her time in Morocco focused on women's activism and political empowerment. After a brief detour in the private sector, Allie spent some time in Guatemala with CasaSito. Seeing the incredible projects this small organization pursued to educate and empower youth, renewed a passion for economic development. This lead Allie to volunteer in Kiva's headquarters office where she was inspired by embarking Kiva Fellows. She is particularly excited to see the real social impact of microfinance and Client Protection Principles in action. Allie enjoys getting lost, the ocean, yoga, reading, and going on long trail rides.
