Bio:
After eight years in New York, Alexis Ditkowsky and her husband quit their jobs in June 2009 to travel and seek out new opportunities in the social enterprise space. She recently finished working on marketing, digital media, and community-building projects for Ashoka's Changemakers in Boston, New York, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Prior to that, she spent four years at Brooklyn Academy of Music where she managed their email marketing and social media programs and was responsible for content updates to BAM.org. She currently volunteers with Net Impact Boston and volunteered with Acumen Fund and the New York University Health Center when based in New York. She is very excited about her placement in South Africa since she has many personal connections to the region and can't wait to learn more about the nuts and bolts of microfinance administration.
