I loan because:
My starting point is "Let me do my bit". If as little as $25 can help change someone’s life forever, and I can easily do it, why not? It is not many years ago when I landed in a situation (self created) where I did not have enough in my bank to clear the outstanding credit card bill...I needed help and someone bailed me out, else...God knows..Even though the context is different, I can draw similarities. Entrepreneurs are driven by the desire to prove themselves. To lead interesting, passionate, meaningful lives. They don’t need a fancy degree or a rich daddy to dream big and make it happen. It’s all in the head, heart, and in their hands. If someone is set on a entrepreneurship journey via. Kiva etc, am more than willing to support within my means since I believe that these small loans will not only literally change people’s lives, but will also positively affect their whole community.
