Bio:
Adria received her B.A. from Brown University, where her coursework focused on understanding basic international development issues, and dedicated her last year primarily to a thesis entitled "Contested Ground: How playing rugby in Uganda can impact women in their traditional gender performance and perceptions of their bodies." After graduating, she worked at GlobalGiving in Washington, DC, gaining insight and experience in online and social media based fundraising as well as corporate social responsibility programs. In order to pursue her love of the sport for social change movement and spend time providing direct services, she completed an Americorps Coach Across America year of service with Urban Dove in New York City. Adria is extremely excited to be a part of the Kiva Fellows program and learn all there is to know about microfinance in Samoa!
