Abhinab's early childhood experience of traversing between cultures and continents sparked an unrelenting curiosity in economic development. It was the knowledge that technological solutions existed, yet somehow the capability needed to bring them to fruition did not that has guided his academic and professional interests. Abhinab finished his undergraduate education at Carleton College in Economics and Cross-Cultural Studies. After college, he moved to Washington DC where he has been working in the consulting industry for the past five years. His consulting experience has been primarily focused in the energy and telecommunication sectors. The Kiva Fellowship gives him a unique opportunity to merge his interest in finance and development with his longstanding goal to have an impact on Nepal development. Abhinab is excited to apply his skillāset, but also unlearn, learn, and refine his consulting experience by dedicating himself to a new set of problems that can have a tangible and positive impact on people's lives through micro-finance lending.
