I loan because:
We were given loans in college, albeit on credit cards at excruciating rates. Nonetheless, capital was available to us. The idea of giving capital directly to an entrepreneur willing to do what is needed to succeed, and avoiding "management" and other fees associated with charities is what appeals the most about Kiva. We are glad to help give opportunities to hard working entrepreneurs.
About me:
We had the opportunity to make millions of individuals laugh and feel good about life. Hopefully that will continue.
