- It keeps me humble. Growing up, I had very little, and still I view myself on the very bottom rung of the financial ladder. And it's so easy to let myself get tied up in all that I do not have, and forget that there are so many people all around the world that don't have food or water, or shelter, or even the assurance that they will survive to see the next week. Kiva reminds me that although I do not have a lot, the little that I have to give means a lot to those who have nothing.
