Afua B. is 46 years old. She is married with five children, all of whom have completed senior high school. Some are working while others are learning trades. She lives with her children and husband in a family house in a fishing community called Aquase, near Cape Coast in the Central Region of Ghana.
Afua sells vegetables such as peppers, tomatoes, onions, etc. on a table top in the market square. She procures the vegetables from farmers in the nearby small communities at effective prices. She says she supplies the greater percentage of vegetables to food vendors and other retailers. Afua has been in this business for 27 years and is endowed with rich experiences. She wants a loan to procure more goods.
