For example, Gloria is a married 35-year-old with four children. She sells wood and logs. Gloria purchases trees, chops them into logs, and then sells them herself.

On the other hand, Eliza is a 34-year-old mother of two children who lives with her common-law husband. She has a shop in her home where she sells groceries, gas, and vegetables. Her husband helps her keep the shop open every day of the week.

While Teresa is a married 60-year-old with one daughter. She has a shop that sells general merchandise and vegetables.

The members need differing loan amounts (300, 600, or 900 Peruvian nuevos soles), for a grand total of 9,900 nuevos soles to be loaned to the community bank.

The loans will be invested in the purchase of trees, rice, sugar, milk, oil, clothing, sweets, and ice cream.

The group's members hope to build their own homes and improve their businesses. They also hope that their children will be professionals.
