Georgina

Georgina is 52 years old, has been married for 21 years, and has seven children who live at home with her. She and her husband work as laborers in their relatives' fields, and they also plant three to four hectares of rented fields with potatoes and peas. In the last harvest, they sent 150 sacks of potatoes to the market in Lima and another 50 sacks to the market in Tarma, and with their earnings they were able to pay off their previous loan, which they spent on pesticides. Ella y su esposo trabajan como peones en las chacras de algunos familiares, asimismo siembran de 3 a 4 hectáreas de papa y alverjas en chacras alquiladas. En la última cosecha enviaron 150 sacos de papa al mercado de Lima y otros 50 sacos al mercado de Tarma, y con las ganancias que lograron obtener pudieron pagar los pesticidas que compraron al crédito anteriormente. Ahora esperan invertir una la misma cantidad para su nueva campaña de siembra. Georgina fue la presidenta de su banco comunal hace un año, esta vez apoya a su hija con el cargo de tesorera, ya que ambas integran el mismo grupo. Este es su 8vo préstamo con MFP, y es una persona muy responsable en sus pagos. El dinero que está solicitando es para la compra de fertilizantes para sus nuevos cultivos.
