Betania 1b is a group of 10 farmers in Nekmese Naet Village – Kupang District of East Nusa Tenggara Province in Indonesia. This group is led by Ande K., a 29-year-old man. He is married and has 1 daughter, aged 1. His wife usually helps him on the farm. The soil in Nekmese Naet Village where Ande lives is fertile, and it has potential to growth coconut and banana. Most of the community in this village relies on the agricultural sector to earn money. The weather and climate in this area is good as the season changes every 6 months.

Ande is interested in the cattle fattening program because he wants to improve his living standard as a farmer, and the availability of cattle food that he has encourages him to join the cattle fattening program. Ande is requesting loan from TLM amounting to Rp 3,300,000 to buy young cattle to be fattened in 12 months. The other borrowers of Betania 1b group are also requesting loans to buy cattle to be fattened. After the cattle have been fattened for 12 months, they will be sold and the initial cost of the cattle will be repaid to the lender and the group members will get the profit from the sale.
