Mrs. Liza E., 49 years old and married, lives at Aloran, Misamis Occidental. She has 3 children. Her husband is a "tricycle" (local three-wheeled motor vehicle) driver. In order to help her husband, she decided to open up a "sari-sari" store (mini grocery store) as additional source of income. She was able to manage the business successfully, in fact, she was able to expand it and do some minor renovation of their store.

Liza joined Paglaum Multi-Purpose Cooperative to access their financial services as well as their insurance and other benefits given to members. Now she is applying for PHP 20,000 to purchase basic commodities for sale. In the future, she wants to see all her children finish their studies.
