The Pacaycasa bank is starting their 18th cycle with 19 members. The members come from the district of Pacaycasa, 30 minutes outside of the city of Ayacucho.

The members have a variety of businesses such as the sale of vegetables, piglets, tara, small animals, general groceries, food, candies, fruit, and hand-made bricks.

Victoria is in a common-law marriage; she is 34 years old and has three children. Victoria has been selling candies at the entrance of the local high school for four years. Victoria also harvests tara on land she leases.

Aquilina is in a common-law marriage; she is 33 years old and has two children. Aquilina has a grocery store in her home and also raises pigs and guinea pigs.

Basilia is married, 38 years old and has four children. Basilia sells candies and fruit in the street in front of the high school as well as buying and selling tara and piglets.

The members need to borrow different amounts such as 300 soles, 600 soles and 900 soles for a total loan of 11,100 soles to the community bank.

The loans will be used to buy rice, oil, noodles, tara, piglets, vegetables, candies and to pay for the rental of land.

The members dream of giving their children a good education, of having homes of their own, of building their homes out of durable materials and of improving their businesses.

El Banco Pacaycasa inicia el 18 ciclo con 19 socias, las socias son del distrito de Pacaycasa que se ubica a 30 minutos de la ciudad de Ayacucho.

Las socias realizan diferentes negocios como la venta de verduras, cochinilla, tara, animales menores, abarrotes en general, comida, golosinas, frutas y fabricación de ladrillos artesanales.

Como es el caso de Victoria que es conviviente, tiene 34 años y 3 hijos, Victoria vende golosinas en la puerta del colegio del distrito, actividad que realiza hace 4 años, además Victoria se dedica a la cosecha de tara de terrenos que alquila.

Por otro lado Aquilina es conviviente, tiene 33 años y 2 hijos, Aquilina tiene una tienda de abarrotes en su casa, además Aquilina se dedica a la crianza de cuy y cerdos.

Mientras que Basilia es casada, tiene 38 años y 4 hijos, Basilia vende golosinas y frutas de manera ambulatoria en la puerta del colegio. Además se dedica a la compra y venta de tara y cochinilla.

Las socias necesitan diferentes montos de prestamos como 300 soles, 600soles, 900 soles haciendo un total de 11,100 soles de prestamos en el Banco Comunal.

Sus prestamos serán invertidos en la compra de arroz, aceite, fideo, tara, cochinilla, verduras, golosinas y para el pago del arriendo de los terrenos.
