Majed is a 47-year-old married man with three children who lives in Tarik A. Jadidah in Beirut. When he was 27, he started working in a detergent manufactoring plant. In 2001 he opened his own shop, where he manufactures detergents and sells them to the nearby supermarkets. Majed wants to borrow $1,200 in order to buy more raw materials for his business, so that he can increase his production and sales.
