Grace Yeboah is thirty eight years old. She is married and has given birth to six children, three girls and three boys.. According to her, one of her children is learning a trade. The rest are attending senior high and junior high schools. She lives with her family in a rented apartment in the commercial town of Bekwai, close to Obuasi (a gold mining town, in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. The majority of the inhabitants of Bekwai are into commercial activities. Her husband is a teacher by profession. Grace is a bread baker. She procures bags of flour, sugar, margarine, etc from shops in her community at retail prices. She would like a larger working capital so that she could travel and buy directly from wholesalers at more attractive price. Grace supplies the bread to retailers and beverage sellers in her community. She has been baking bread for seven years and now wants a loan to expand her business. It is her dream to give her children the best of education.
