Victorine is 60 years old. She is a widow with seven children and two grandchildren. She has been in business since 1971. After her husband’s death in 1985, she has devoted her life to business. She even taught three of her children in business. Victorine needs a loan of $800 to purchase 80 sacks of corn for resale. By bringing sacks of corn from the rural areas to the urban, she is creating opportunities for the rural population to reach the urban markets with their goods.
