A loan of $975 helped to make and sell refreshments.

Fatou's story

Fatou N., age 59, is a widow and has one child. She has been a member of the village council of Goudomp for five and a half years. Her work involves selling refreshments that she makes from “monkey bread” (the fruit of the baobab tree), sugar, hibiscus flowers, and flavorings. She acquires her supplies in Goudomp and at the weekly market of Yarang. The income derived from her commerce enables her to improve living conditions and to cover the children’s schooling costs. She’s requesting a loan that will be repaid all at once at the end of six months.
