Mulondo Milly Group
In this Group: Milly, Susan, Night, Veronica, Rose

Milly is 34 years of age. She is a single mother of four and she rents a one-room house, where she stays with her children. She does have access to piped water and electricity. She also cares for additional family members. She has three meals a day and her greatest expanse in a month is paying tuition for her children.

Milly sells second-hand clothes in the market. She must pay market dues to be allowed to operate her business there. She receives about 10 customers a day and they are both men and women. She has done this particular business for 8 years now and the main challenge she faces is the rainy season, which disrupts her business.

She has worked with MCDT for 4 years now and chose to work with MCDT because it was easy for her to join and also near her home. She will use this loan to increase her stock and she also hopes to continue expanding on her business to improve on her income.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
