Jatuhnya harga vanili berimbas kepada semua petani yang menanam pohon vanili di kebunnya. Demikian juga yang dialami oleh I Made Mekir. Namun, dengan adanya pendampingan dari staf Dinari, I Made Mekir disarankan untuk beralih ke usaha baru yang lebih menjanjikan yaitu menanam pohon kakao. Saat ini tanaman kakao sangat diminati oeh banyak petani karena perawatannya yang mudah, namun hasilnya maksimal. Harganya pun relatif stabil dipasaran. Pinjaman kedua ini akan dipergunakan untuk biaya pengolahan tanah dan membeli bibit kakao. I Made Mekir merasa bersyukur karena mendapat pendampingan dan solusi untuk masalahnya sehingga ia tidak merasa rugi terlalu banyak. I Made Mekir berencana untuk mengganti seluruh tanaman vanilinya dengan kakao agar hasil yang didapat akan maksimal.
