Long K. is 34 years old and lives with her husband in Prey Veng province. She and her husband are farmers who typically make US$ 2 a day. Long has one child and so far she is still living with her elderly mother. Lately, she has requested a loan to purchase a grinding machine. This mill will be a service to the local farmers to take off the rice husk and an income-generating business for Long. (Long's husband is pictured at their home.)
